Ugghhhh….as an adult, you hate the word. But when you have a newborn, you love the word! My baby boy is a growing maniac!! He had his 2 month check-up this past week and weighed 13.5 lbs. When he was born, he was tiny and was in the 25th percentile for weight – he has jumped to the 85th percentile and is still gaining an average of a pound a week. He loves to eat and the nurse called him ‘a sweet little bag of flour…a tad bit heavy and soft all over’
So funny! This is the ‘pre-smile’ face that I get to wake up to every day. He is such a happy baby and he loves to show off his double chin. He would just sit in my arms all day long and lay his head on my cheek while I walk around if I let him. Looooves to snuggle and loves his mama =)
Yes, I just had a baby which brings me to the pounds issue again. Today was the kick-off of my ‘get ready for summer’ exercise routine!!! Went to the Dr. last week and I am 10 lbs away from my pre-pregnancy weight. Being an athlete my entire life, it is so hard to be out of shape, I cannot stand having any extra weight on my body. When I am in shape I have more energy, I have higher self esteem, and most of all, I am happier!! So here it goes….
The way to start it off is a walk around the neighborhood while pushing a baby in a stroller with a toddler riding the outside up a ginormous hill!!!! I am super tired tonight and will sleep well.
I have no excuses now, the weather is beautiful – so a run or walk a day HAS to be on the schedule.
