Please be thinking of and praying for….

Just found out that a camper of ours was in a very bad car accident yesterday. Mackenzie Hallmark is a very precious young woman. She was my camper back in the day at Camp Sparrowwood when she was 11 years old. She has been a part of our lives and our camping adventures for 10 years now, she is now 21! I can not believe it. Mackenzie was actually the drive that started Camp Caglewood in the first place. I wanted to take her camping before I headed out to school in Colorado, and voila!!! Caglewood was born. With a lot more detail of course, but won’t go into that.

Yesterday, the vehicle she was riding in was hit by a drunk driver. Mackenzie was hurt very badly and is in the ICU in critical condition. Her injuries include a broken pelvis, broken femur, broken arm, and broken collar bone. Not yet sure of any other injuries. They need prayers desperately throughout this holiday season and for the years to come. Mackenzie has many anxieties, one of which was riding in a car but she faced that fear every single day or else she couldn’t participate in the activities she enjoyed the most. Now that this has happened, she has a long road ahead of her not only physically recovering, but mentally recovering as well.

Hello Disney! Here we come!!

We are so very excited! We have just reserved our place to stay for our DISNEY TRIP to celebrate Elijah’s 5th birthday! Our first trip to Disney =)  and I have never been.  I  think I am more excited than anyone else in our family.

Of course we wanted to stay in the resort just because it would just be fun, but after crunching the numbers the prices are absolutely ridiculous for what you get!!! I am amazed at what they charge. Sooooo, we found an amazing place with a lot of room (which is very important with 2 boys).  A hotel room would not cut it.

We got a great deal – we will be staying in a town home in Regal Palms Resort. Do you think my boys will be worn out after this???

The 2.5 acre pool has heated pools, a lazy river,  slides, and fun stuff!! =)

Only 10 minutes from most of the parks. We travel in March and cannot wait!! If any of you have taken kids under 5 before, we would love some advice on where to take them (what parks are the most toddler friendly, dinner with Mickey, etc…) We need all the info we can get.

Of course we will have to go outside of Disney one day to Gatorland….both boys need to wrestle a gator!!

Homemade Masks

744

My little munchkins LOVE masks, but of course, I am not about to go out and buy a mask every time they want to play dress up. I make them pretend, but sometimes it is just fun to make a mask =) and so very easy.

I love my hot glue gun, I use it for everything. I have actually used it to make my dining room curtains instead of sewing them, shhhhh don’t tell anyone. Back to the masks! All I do is look up their favorite character of the moment on google images, find a face picture, copy and paste it into ‘word’, enlarge it, print it, hot glue it onto craft paper (any glue will work) this will make it thicker and more usable, glue string to it….and voila! A mask.

Oh, don’t forget to cut the eye holes out so your little one can see where they are going =)

Freebranch Jewelry now has a website…www.freebranch.com  !! Yay! I have many more earrings coming. I am enjoying this art, it is fun, peaceful, and fulfilling. Thank you for those of you that have supported me =) Hopefully they will get better over time. I would love to learn about and do more metal work so we will see what this next year will bring.

Merge

tree

This has been my family for the past week and possibly for the next 2 weeks =) 6 children! With three of them being 4 and under. How cute are they?? We have had a great time and I have learned a lot of things that I didn’t already know about my nieces and definitely my little nephew, Charlie.  What a joy that little bundle is! This picture was taken this week when I took ‘the clan’ to a tree farm close by to pick out their Christmas tree. A fun day, cold and wet, but fun. We took the tree home to their house, decorated it, played Christmas movies, made hot chocolate, and I tried to give them the best experience they could have without their Mommy or Daddy.

Their parents, my sister and her hubby, are on another adoption journey. I will share more details about that later. For now, I will just post pictures of the cute little bundle that has already blessed us with his presence.
