What the Freemans do…

When we have 60 degree weather in the winter…

Super Fast

So perfect – no cold fingers, no ice bruises, and we weren’t miserable!! Although, after this, our day consisted of many meltdowns that I blame solely on exhaustion – oh, and on starting our day at 4 am for some reason! Perfect recreational activity for a house full of boys =)

And Again…

I think all of my posts this past month have just been about Jobe – but who can blame me?! He and his brothers have taken up every single moment of every day and he is such a cutie!!! Love him!

My body guards the other day:

This was the first weekend that Paul (poor thing) was able to really snuggle with Jobe since a few weeks ago when our family came down with RSV. This is what I walked in to all weekend:

Snow Week…Cabin FEVER!!!!

Out of school and stuck in our house (literally) for FIVE straight days – Do we live in Georgia?!? This has been crazy, but loads of fun – except for the fact that this happened…

photo 5

Yes, Mama was not a happy camper. After 3 weeks of viruses, we were exhausted, but finally well for baby to be born. And then a few days after Jobe came home, Noah came down with RSV and was put on breathing treatments. Now, we all have it (except baby) So Jobe has been closed in my bedroom for 8 days now. Poor Paul and the boys haven’t seen or held him for EIGHT DAYS! I feel so sorry for Paul, he is aching inside because he misses his baby so much. But only Mommy is allowed in the room, with clean clothes, clean hands, and a mask. Not a fun week to say the least – but hopefully we will be back to a bit normalcy ASAP! My emotional state has seen better days and I long for the day where all FIVE (yay!) of us can be in the same room and be a family again =)

So what do we do stuck for 5 straight days?!??

Snuggle with sleepy babies that smell like fresh powder =)

Explore the snow that eventually turned into a huge sheet of ice – which, by the way, made watching Boda explore absolutely hilarious!:

Wonderful Jo-Jo

We are hangin’ in there!! It has been a bit crazy, but we are absolutely LOVING having our 3 boys. Who said life is suppose to be calm and uneventful?!

Jobe sporting the amazing hat made by Amy – LOVE it girl! Thank you:

Jobe had his first week check-up yesterday and he has gained a good bit of weight and looks absolutely perfect! She checked his skull and it still seems to be fixing itself. For those of you that don’t know, Jobe was born with what seemed to be fused skull plates at the time which meant that he had no soft spots. Craniosynostosis is when one or more of the skull bones have been joined or fused too soon and can cause a number of serious problems in one’s life requiring many ‘not so pretty’ surgeries. But thankfully Jobe’s were not fused yet, just overlapping and they seem as though they are spreading apart on their own now. Of course, this is something we will have to watch for the next few years, but everything looks wonderful so far!!!

If you look closely you can see the ridge on his forehead where the plates were overlapping at the time:

Such an amazing week of snuggles, no sleep =), love, great friends, x-box kinect, and family time. Thank you to all of you that have visited, brought food, and gifts. We LOVE YOU ALL so dearly!!!

If you look closely, you can see Megan’s little baby bump =) Sooooo exciting! We had always planned to have our babies at the same time….. I am a tad bit ahead by 6 years, but at least these 2 will be pretty close!

Can’t wait for what’s to come!

This is not a dream…

I started my day today to the sweet words “Mommy, I sure do hope this is not a dream” spoken by my oldest boy, Elijah. He was talking about his new baby brother, Jobe and how much he loves him already. Yes, sweet words that just melted my heart and sent me to a dreamy place where I just knew that all was right with the world.

My poor boys have been so confused and ask me everyday if I am going to have to leave them again. I have to reassure them that I am not going anywhere but Noah is still a little unsure and has been very clingy and worried. Hopefully time will heal, but meanwhile, I am loving the extra snuggle time.
