Who is ready for some FUN!!!??

In the beginning…

Paul has been working his TAIL off building the boys a playground from scratch. He planned it himself and is doing everything on his own (poor guy), even though he loves it! Paul does so much for his boys, they are so blessed to have him as their daddy. Although, he is making this playground sturdy enough for adult use =) He is moving a lot slower than he would have before his accident but we like to think that it is good therapy, painful, but good. 

It is going to be so cool, I can’t wait to have campouts on the platforms for years to come!!!! This playground will have 3 platforms (one little one for Jobe), a bridge in between them, a house, swings, at least 3 slides, a sandbox, trap door, rope ladder, a rock wall, a zip line going off into the woods, and more (I am sure)!

The boys are ECSTATIC so they are helping and helping. Hoping that their help will get it finished faster =)

It’s official…

   

The most anticipated day of this year has finally arrived! Elijah has successfully completed his first day at his new school – hopefully his school for the next 5 years. We have a 1st grader!!!! I was so baffled this morning, just completely beside myself. Of course, we had to wake up a lot earlier than normal because he now starts at 8am – sluggish and sleepy we ALL marched out the door and headed over to school. Had an unpleasant encounter with a police officer directing school traffic where I proceeded to spin my tires while speeding off because I was so angry with him. Ha! Very happy he did not follow me and yes, it was an accident people – I didn’t mean to drive like the maniac mother I know I am.

Got to school, super cute kids all in their uniforms and looking so sharp. We were in assembly, I was still a little shaky, and that is where it hit me – oh my goodness, he is really in school!!!! He will have REAL grades and everything this year, his work is a big deal, he will have homework,  he actually has textbooks, he will go on fieldtrips. WOW! This day hit me a lot harder than kindergarten did. We walked him down the super cute hallway, might I add this school/church has amazing artwork, murals, etc…. – and we entered his room where he had a REAL desk of his own right next to a window – which I loved, he needs his rejuvenating sunlight during the day.

Looked to our left and realized that the little girl in the desk next to his was Riley McClure – Todd McClure’s (who plays for the Atlanta Falcons) little girl. She was super cute, quiet, and very shy. We’ll see about girlfriends this year – there are 10 students in his class and they seem about equal with males and females =)   

Woooohooooo!!!! First Grade!!!!!!! He got in the car this afternoon and said “MOMMY, I LOOOOOVE SCHOOL"!!! fun times =)

BIG Week!!

To start, Eli lost his 2 front teeth this week! Super funny…

AAANNNNDDDDD – Noah started his first day of ‘Nature School’. Yipppeeeeee, go Noah!! This is a neat little program held once a week for 4-5 year olds at a Nature Center near our home. They go hiking, learn about bugs, animals and nature in general, they do crafts, and singing. Noah has always been home with me and is very worried about being away from me (completely opposite of his older brother!!!!!). Therefore, I thought this would a be a fun learning experience that would ease him into being ok with being away from Mommy since it is only once a week then we would do the rest of preschool as homeschool.

Well……

He was not a happy camper all morning. He did NOT want to go, he was very worried…..obviously (above)

But after we got there we got to see the bee hive:

And then he met his very small class in the museum, that was it. He was super excited!!!! He didn’t even say bye to me =(

My little man is growing up. He had a great day and hiked almost the entire time!

4 Wonderful, Delightful Years…Thank-you Monkey!!!!

 

I cannot believe it has been FOUR YEARS since the day this little blessing was given to me. August 1st 2007 – Noah Thomas Freeman joined the Freeman family. We would never be the same again. He is such a delightful, LOVING, curious, very stubborn, and sweet little boy. He is all boy and very athletic but so sensitive and loving. He adores his family and is lost without us. He cares for everyone and is always willing to share, help others, and say a kind word. He is obsessed with the color GREEN. He keeps us laughing every single day and melts my heart with every gaze into his beautiful eyes. He gets his ears from his mommy, and yes, I am not ashamed to admit it!! I love this child and I don’t want him to grow up!!! I said to both of my boys a few days ago – “you guys are so wonderful, I don’t ever want you to grow up because that means that you will be off on your own and I won’t get to see you every day.” This was followed by a BIG smile and hug from Noah and then followed by tears from Elijah – Hysterically, Eli said “I AM SO SAD BECAUSE YOU DON’T WANT ME TO GROW UP!!!!!”  The two of them are so extremely different – but tough love is there and they are best friends to the core…

A WONDERFUL party with great friends and loving family to celebrate the 4 amazing years this little man has blessed us all. The Freeman Monster Truck Bash was full of monster truck fun including a scavenger hunt, a monster truck sand track, t-shirt making, tattoos, and a super yummy homemade ice cream cake!!

 

Even Jobe had to get in on all the fun!!…

Can’t wait to see what the next year has to bring. My little handsome man is growing up fast –
